        Located in the heart of Sarasota, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is the most advanced training and educational facility ever created for BJJ young athletes. The academy is staffed by highly qualified, professional and experienced instructors, who draw their credentials and training from the world’s leading Brazilian masters of this art, and who have dedicated their lives to character development, cutting edge instruction, and high level competition.

        The academy provides thoughtful and carefully directed training for students of all ages during after-school hours from Monday to Friday all year-round, and also offers special training through the entire summer. New students are assessed prior to acceptance in the academy through analysis of sports background and evaluation of demonstrated abilities.

        Our mission is to build a strong foundation in BJJ and prepare the athlete for high level competition in Gi, No-Gi and MMA. (Students who may not be inclined towards high level competition have the option to learn the basic concepts of mixed martial arts, both for personal self-defense and to facilitate further pursuit of this activity as adults). 

        The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy provides the most unique training environment in the world of BJJ today. We focus on the individual, building skill sets from the ground up by giving athletes the tools they need to compete against higher level competition. Teaching both fundamental and advanced techniques and tactics, our coaching staff is able to bring out the best in each athlete.

        The program consists of technical training, conditioning, tactics and combat strategies for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments following the International BJJ Federation standards and rules. Our athletes compete actively in the Florida State Championship, American Nationals, Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championship and the World BJJ Championship (for adults only).
