PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Professor Thadeu Vieira is a native of Rio de Janeiro, and he currently lives in Sarasota, FL. He is a second degree black belt and graduated with his degree in Physical Education from the University of Volta Redonda (UNIFOA) in Rio de Janeiro State. In 2001, Master Paulo Wesley Lopes awarded Professor Vieira with his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Professor Vieira specializes in teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to kids, and he has several students that have been awarded gold medals in the Brazilian National Championships, Florida State Championships and Pan American Championships, ages 5 to 15 years old.

"Jiu-Jitsu is not just a sport, or a means of self-defense, but it is also a lifestyle. To become a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, you do not have to be physically strong, but you must be strong in mind and spirit."

Professor Vieira has been teaching seminars all over the world including more than 15 States in the US, Canada, Brazil, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
